Story of Desert Mirage

A sense of place.
Held in your hand.

Desert Mirage begins with the visual language of the Emirates: the meeting of a changing skyline, expansive desert horizons and the quiet geometry of contemporary architecture.

Each composition is drawn by hand, then refined for a spherical canvas. Lines follow the curve. Details reveal themselves as the object turns. A familiar sporting object becomes a miniature landscape to return to.

Made slowly. Produced in limited numbers. Created to be kept.

Craft process

From sketch
to collectible object.

Every composition moves through a careful sequence, from a hand-drawn study to artwork adapted for the curved surface of a golf ball.

Drawn by hand.

An original study shaped by place, atmosphere, architecture and landscape. Every composition begins with a considered line.

Shaped for a sphere.

The illustration is refined and vectorized, with particular attention to balance, scale and the way the artwork wraps around the ball.

Printed. Inspected.

Each piece is printed in a small batch and inspected individually before becoming part of a numbered SHOMANHAUS set.

Presentation

Made to be
displayed.

The presentation is part of the collection. Every Desert Mirage set is carefully arranged, protected and ready to be displayed or gifted.

Only 500 sets will be produced. Each set is individually numbered and accompanied by a collection card. Once the edition is complete, Desert Mirage will not be reproduced.
